I received this electric bike new from Optibike in 11/xxxx. I purchased it so I could make a long (25+ mile) commute to work by bike. However, not long after I purchased it my job required me to leave everything and relocate overseas. When I returned I ended up living just a couple miles from work so I no longer need it for the commute. I rode this bike less than 500 miles total and it was all on city streets. The bike performed beautifully and was a thrill to ride. There are 2 or 3 tiny nicks in the paint, but it otherwise looks nearly new. This is the Ferrari of electric bicycles.
Everything works fine on the bicycle. The batteries still hold a charge well although I assume they can't get as many miles on a full charge as they did when the bike was new (I haven't tested the range lately). They were originally warrantied for 3 years or 30,000 miles. If you want new batteries you can send it to Optibike and they will replace them for a fee. Their customer service has always been excellent. These bikes are hand made in Colorado and are very popular.The hollow aluminum frame fits me. I'm 5 ft 8.5 inches. The frame has a lifetime warranty for the original owner. I have heard the warranty may be transferrable.
