The AT and T Executive Education and Conference Center at the University of Texas in Austin is seeking an experienced Director of Food and Beverage to join their team. The four:star facility offers 297 rooms, over 40,000 square feet of meeting and conference space, two full:service restaurants and one conferee dining room. We also offer in:room dining and a poolside grill.

This position is responsible for the overall foodservice operation at the conference center including all food and beverage outlets, room service and banquets.
Responsibilities:
:Operate the department in accordance with the approved budget, while providing the Client with the maximum value for the dollars spent.
:Ensure that the food offered to the client, customers, and employees of the operation is of superior quality.
:Direct and conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs.
:Maintain excellent relationships with employees, guests and Client as well as other departments within the operation.
:Promote the professional growth and development of the entire food and beverage team.
:Foster strong inter:departmental relations and integrate the department with the facility plan of operations
:Be able to handle responsibility for ensuring proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures:follows HACCP standards.
:Maintain close communication with the Managing Directors under the Food and Beverage Division and other department/division heads.
:Assist in developing annual budget and action plans, including annual objectives.
:Review daily operating results and weekly forecasting and scheduling, taking immediate corrective action if required.
:Maintain high visibility with associates and guests.
:Conduct daily reviews of Food and Beverage Division hotel operations with Department Heads.
:Attend hotel operational meetings, Food and Beverage departmental meetings, and associate:related events.
:Review annual objectives composed by department heads and monitors progress to completion over coming year.
Qualifications:
:Minimum of Associates Degree required
:3:5 years progressive hospitality food and beverage experience is desired
:Demonstrated profit and loss management ability and client relations success is essential
:Knowledge of local and state liquor law
