This is an important Texas map, considering statehood was December 29, xxxx. Isthmus of Panama is available also. 1 or both. Original retail written in pencil is on Texas/Mexico is $725/$476 on Isthmus of Panama.
I have personally consulted with the premier antique map buyer/collector,
Antonio Raimo, of Antonio Raimo Galleries LLC in Atlanta.
He immediately recognized these hand colored maps as John Tallis. He, emphatically, knows the $725 to be a representative asking price for Texas/Mexico because it is so few years after statehood. He believes the Istmus of Panama should be half of the $476, at most.
